The iPatente application is the official app provided to citizens by the Department of Transportation of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport. With iPatente, you can check the balance and history of points on your driver's license, verify the details and expiration dates of your vehicles, monitor the status of your procedures, and review the history of those carried out over the years.

For third-party vehicles, you can check their insurance status, environmental class, and driving eligibility for new drivers.

Here are the various features offered in detail:
• Driver's Licenses: In addition to having an up-to-date point balance on your driver's license, you can check its expiration date and any changes in points with relevant information on each violation and point increase.

• Vehicles: You can review all the details of vehicles registered under your name, from technical specifications to inspection and insurance expiration dates. With this new version, you can also view information related to your recreational units (boats and/or ships).

• Procedures: You can check the progress status of your procedures at the Motor Vehicle Office. On the homepage, you will find all your ongoing procedures, while the "Procedures" section will provide a historical overview.

• Vehicle Verification: The homepage features a banner as well as a search functionality section that allows you to verify information on a third-party vehicle. By entering the license plate number, you can access its insurance status, environmental class, and compatibility for new drivers.

• Company Search: It is possible to search for all companies registered with REN (National Electronic Registry) authorized for road transportation of goods or people.

• PagoPA Payments: You can make voluntary payments necessary to access fee-based services provided by MIMS (Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport) and view the payment history and receipts.

• National IT Platform for the management of license plates associated with the European Unified Disabled Card (CUDE).

• Messages and Notifications: You can receive notifications to stay updated on the expiration dates and point changes on your driver's licenses. You can access the message history in the "Messages and Notifications" section of the application.
The data provided by the iPatente application is the same as that available on "Il Portale dell'Automobilista," the e-government service portal of the Department of Transportation of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (Motor Vehicle Office).

Access to the service:
If you are not yet registered on "Il Portale dell'Automobilista," follow the simple procedure directly on your Android device using the application. During registration, remember to enter your driver's license number.
*If you have a new model license card, enter the number shown on the front at point 5.
To access the services provided by the application, you must use the same "username" and "password" as you do on "Il Portale dell'Automobilista."
Note: If you do not enter your license information during registration, you will not be able to access the details and points balance, but you can enter them later through both Il Portale dell'Automobilista and the iPatente application.
